This exhibition was the culmination of a series of community workshops in Capel Garmon and Penmachno, North Wales, which I was commissioned to run by the local artist Kristin Luke. It featured two zines which were created by representatives of the community to document local stories. Utilising print, collage, typography and maps, the zines were created on a riso printer during the workshops.
The print workshops brought together experiences, spaces, places, memories and ideas.
Oriel Machno is a beautiful arts space which sits at the heart of the community in Penmachno. Originally a shop, then a photography studio, it is now a community-run project space.
