- Brief
- Understand the client and the brief in order to establish what is required 
- If it is an environmental graphic commission, I would conduct a site visit with the client to understand the opportunities and constraints 
- Undertake research to understand the brand, the quality of space 
- Develop overarching themes 
2. Ideas
Develop initial themes and ideas:
Based on research and a thorough understanding of brand/space/brief, quickly develop a range of themes and concepts for discussion and selection.
3. Develop
Develop ideas to a greater level of detail:
- Working up ideas to scale 
- Putting together an idea of the cost with an awareness of the budget 
4. Final Product
- Prepare and finalise the artwork files for production 
- Visit the suppliers and review production and fabrication
